About

Born in the suburbs of Chicago, Il  Jamie (Pachuta) Sullivan had access to all of the wonderful facilities of the city. She has lived all over the state of illinois and briefly in Florence, Italy while studying abroad. A chameleon in her professional life, she has shifted and adapted to bring skill to a variety of industries by applying logic, pattern, process, and design.

Jamie was introduced to art in high school by a phenomenal and inspiring teacher who encouraged her to build a portfolio and apply to art school. She studied business and fine arts earning a dual bachelor’s degrees from Illinois State University. While in college for Italian Renaissance Art History, the University required the practice and study of applied arts. It was there that Jamie developed an appreciation for life drawing, stone carving, sculpting, and glass blowing. Jamie never formally studied painting. It was many years later that she developed an appreciation for  painting because of the accessibility of the medium. She has most recently found joy in the creation of colorful acrylic paintings. Jamie established Tre Bella Art as a way to share her perspective of natural elements through art. Her paintings tend to be more impressionistic in style. Jamie juxtaposes contrasting colors and emphasizes brush stroke to create depth and the illusion of light. Tre Bella is about showcasing very beautiful things through art while balancing color, composition, and brush stroke.
